The Abs Diet?

Diets are all a bit of a wash to me. Plain and simple it’s not the diet that fixes the issue, the behavior fixes the issue. All the diets out there resolve the issues that got us into out mess. It’s about food and exercise. I don’t care how you break it down that is the core of every diet.

I have been reading about every other diet out there and found THE ABS DIET, and was intrigue because of the step promises and the hype around it. I am considering doing it for two weeks and see if it holds up to it’s name and claims.

BIG DAY! Good news all the way around!

Today is indeed a BIG DAY. Two great bits of information. We will start with mine, which is pretty good but not super news and then onto Kelly’s SUPER BIG FUN TIME news.

David : I am officially according to the US Government, not obese anymore. I am just Over-Weight. Today with my new weight of 214 pounds I am now 29.8% fat which is only over-weight. Been looking forward to this day for a while now. Next big mile stone is 15 pounds away which leads me to our next big bit of news.

Kelly: Today when Kelly got on the scale the first digit did not have to work as hard to display a number “2″ instead Kelly being very green used less power and only made it display a “1″. Kelly is now as she puts it “A Buck & Change”. Way to go! Sets us up for a very good weekend and more weight loss.

As a side note, we walked a mile last night and it did not seem to impact the weight loss at all. I was a little more hungry than I think I should have been at bed time but not in any pain other than my lower back which is killing me but that is another story.

Today is the start of my second round of hCG for me and Kelly. We have two load days, then back to VLCD and losing about a pound a day for the next 30 days. I have said before I want to drop another solid 30+ pounds this round and I am going to do it. I have can get more I will take it. I know what I am in for this time so it should be pretty easy.

Back on Phase 2 this weekend

We are back for our second round of hCG and VLCD this weekend. It’s a load weekend and I am going to do it up like a professional loader!

This next round I am looking for a solid 30+ pounds again. Kelly is looking for the same as well. If I reach my goal I will be under 185 and that has not been the case since high school. (1988 or 1990). That would be amazing.

After this next round I have been promised I can go shopping for new clothes too. That is a good reason to be excited too. I would encourage all of you out there to post comments so we can help each other out.

Phase 3 update

So we are three weeks into Phase 3 and things are starting to fall into place. I have a few friends at work who are now on hCG and are seeing good results.

One close friend needs to stop cheating and get on with it. You know who you are and you are stronger than that. I want you to be healthy and thin. Keep up the good work. 30 pounds is easy and stick with it. Trust me it feels great.

So my weight I think has leveled out and I have had a busy week. Still things are looking good. I have had a few spikes but nothing that I can’t explain. I know what spikes my weight and I am better for it. Sadly what spikes my weight is one of my favorite things, Soy Sauce….

Oh well. I know now it’s mostly water weight and that I need to drink loads of water on those days I want to have soy. Either way it’s good information.

As you can see the weight has been up there, but other than the one spike it’s been pretty steady around 216 to 218, and the past two days have been 216.4 on the dot. That is perfect and what I have been looking for.

I feel great in Phase 3

I wanted to keep posting and make sure you all keep reading. We are in Phase 3 and I feel great. I can tell you this. Phase 3 is much harder than Phase 2. The choices you have are much wider and you have to stabilize vs. just lose weight. The losing weight was the easy part. Finding out how much you can eat without the hCG in your system is a little bit of a black art. But I enjoy food so much more now.

I can’t tell you how good food taste and how much I look forward to eating good food. I have little to no urge to eat fast food and have made sure I eat what I want as long as it’s on Phase 3. Eggs are my new best-est friend.

I am also working on coaching a few people on the Phase 2 part now and in the next few weeks. My weight loss has inspired others to want the same.  I am heading in the right direction. I  feel good all day long and can’t tell you how eager I am to get off the last 30 pounds in the next round. Plus I am faster in my go-kart and another 30 pounds is going to make me that much faster. I can’t wait.

GOAL! 30.2 POUNDS!

Today I weighed in and I reached my goal. 30.2 pounds. I have something blocked in the pipes if you know what I mean. So I am super happy today. I have on clothes that I have not worn in 10 years and look brand new.

We start Phase 3 on Saturday. Kelly mentioned that she wanted to take a trip she has been planning and then go back to P2 and get this last 20+ pounds off.

Again this is a hard diet to do for anything longer than 4 weeks but the reward is huge. Now it’s time to start thinking about stabilizing and getting the formula right to hold my weight.

Weight Loss Update – David Vasta

So the weight has not been coming off as fast as the first two weeks. I am hoping to get a total 30 pound loss out of this. Right now I have lost 27.5 pounds and I am pretty happy with that number. Only 2.5 to go to 30 and that will get be below 220 for the first time in years.  I think one more round of hCG will be in order to drop the last 20 but we are going to wait until later this summer to try that. We have a busy next couple of months so it’s time to get back to normal. Phase three starts Saturday.

Diet Update – Day 14

I am down a total of 17 pounds (7.75 Kilos). 1 pound down today from yesterday. I am going to be honest. I need to use the bathroom but it ain’t happening. I think there is another pound there somewhere……
