EAT REAL FOODS

2010

found this on a web site today, it means a lot to me to think about this all the time.

“Be wary of any food that has been created by humans rather than nature. The ingredients on the labels of processed foods, such as the average cracker or potato chip, are mind-boggling. If I don’t know what it is, it’s not going into my body.”

Recipes – Apple Pie Snack

2010
03.07

So yesterday we were at baseball practice with Gino and our snack, apples, was in the car and got warm.  It was kind of good warm. So it got me to thinking. What if I make something warm with apples for a snack?

Ingredients:

1 Fuji Organic Apple 3″
Organic Cinnamon
Stevia

So chop up the apples pretty thin. I went top to bottom on one side, then the same on the other side to make big coin looking shapes.  Then I sprinkled the cinnamon and stevia on. Not to much of either. I try to limit my stiva intake. Place in a skillet with 1/2 a cup of water. Cover them with a a lid. Let them simmer a bit, then open the the lid and let it cook off the water. What you get is a nice snack. Enjoy!

So what have we been eating?

Kelly has been cooking. I for one am glad. If I would have been cooking we would have been dead by now. So big hats off to Kelly for the help there.

Basic Day:

No Breakfast – I hate it too but that is how it works

10 AM – Snack – Small organic Apple & some tea with stevia in it.

12 PM – LUNCH! – 3.5 oz. of boiled Chicken seasoned how you like.
3.5 oz of Lettuce or Spinach & 10 grams of sliced white onion with Apple Vinagar on it to make it taste good.

3 PM – Snack – Small organic Apple & some tea with stevia in it.

12 PM – DINNER – 3.5 oz. of boiled Chicken seasoned how you like.
3.5 oz of Lettuce or Spinach & 10 grams of sliced white onion with Apple Vinagar on it to make it taste good.

Sometimes we replace the Chicken with Steak, but it’s pretty much the same thing every day. I am looking forward to an orange here and there or some grapefruit too. I hate grapefruit but I am will to change it up a bit.
