Phase 2 – Round 2 – Day 4 – Progress Report

2010
05.19

Day 2 of my VLCD and I am down 6.8 pounds from my LOAD WEIGHT, not my start weight. I wanted to get a good idea as to how much I am dropping from my LOAD WEIGHT. The week before my LOAD was not a good week food wise. I did this last time we started and let myself kind of roam before the load. I have now learned something and will work on it next time.

I am a fat burning machine this time around and pretty happy so far. I am off to a better start than last time and I am going to be aggressive about my weight this time. There are stalls in the diet and I only had one last time, but this time when I get one of those .2 pound loss day I am kicking an ALL APPLE day and getting things moving again. I want to drop another 30+ pounds this round and will stop at nothing to get that done. I also need to be off P2 in time for some events here in town so I don’t have any time to goof off or not loss weight.

Hope you all are having a good day and please feel free to post. Kelly is doing well and hanging with me on the weight. She is down 6.6. Not bad at all. I will post more when we hit mile stones…10, 15, 20, 25, and 30.
I am looking for guest posters too who are doing hCG and are willing to share.

Back on Phase 2 this weekend

2010
05.13

We are back for our second round of hCG and VLCD this weekend. It’s a load weekend and I am going to do it up like a professional loader!

This next round I am looking for a solid 30+ pounds again. Kelly is looking for the same as well. If I reach my goal I will be under 185 and that has not been the case since high school. (1988 or 1990). That would be amazing.

After this next round I have been promised I can go shopping for new clothes too. That is a good reason to be excited too. I would encourage all of you out there to post comments so we can help each other out.

Phase 2 here I come…. AGAIN!

2010
05.03

So the countdown starts to Phase 2 again. This weekend I will start my LOAD and then Phase 2 VLCD for the next 28 days. I have another 30 pounds to shed and I want to get it over with and go clothes shopping. I have a bunch of clothes that were  a bit big at my heaviest but had to be large in areas to fit me and my almost 250 pounds of fat ass. Now some 30 pounds lighter I am in clothes I have not worn comfortably in years. But the problem is all my nice office clothes are now way to big for me. So rather than wait I am going to get it over with and drop the last 30.

Right now I am holding at 216(+-2), and feel great. The government says I should weight no more than 178 and I think they are nuts but would love to get close to that weight.

The weekends are still the hardest for both of us as we get busy and forget to eat and drink enough water. It’s no excuse but it happens. I am building a short list of crap to load on this weekend. I am going to load up like I want and be a pig about it.

I want to do Phase 2 again and drop the last 30, that would take me from 216 to 186. I can honestly tell you even after 14 weeks of Naval Boot Camp in 1993 I didn’t weight less than 190. Anything in the 180s would be High School weight. That would be amazing!

Phase 3 – Not as easy as you think

2010
04.04

While plenty of people complain about phase 2, and I share your complaints, food boredom and being hungry are two of the big ones. phase 3 is a bit more tricky than you think. The upside is that you get to add some things to your meals. This is a double edged sword. The next 3 weeks of phase 3 is an experiment in food. You have to find out what you body can take and what it is going to disapprove of. I have found out that salt, salty products and soy sauce (mixed with water) can do horrible things to my weight. I spiked yesterday, but with plenty of water and some green tea things are back to normal. Kelly has not been so luck and today is going to be a true test of will and endurance.

So when the blogs and others tell you to keep track of everything you eat it’s for a reason. You want to stabilize your weight but at the same time know what makes it go up and makes it go down. My other issue has been being full. Phase 3 seems to be very filling and at times maybe to filling. Learn to listen to your tummy. It takes the stomach about 20 minutes to tell your brain it’s full, so eat slowly, drink water with your meal and try to enjoy each bit. When you are full you need to stop. This practice will also show you how much to cook so you don’t waste food. It’s like learning to eat all over again. Good luck!

Getting started with hCG protocol

2010
03.28

At work I spend time now explaining my weight lose when I have time, an to make it easy I have just emailed out the same links to get people reading and understanding how “Pounds & Inches” works.

There are lots of diets out there right now and I have tried at least 4 of the most popular ones and none of them work. It’s not to say that the one I am on right now will work for you either but the most important part about the Protocol is that is “RESETS” your thinking and it “RESETS” you hypothalamus. No other diet out there takes any of this into consideration.  The second part to this protocol is that is high reward factor. In 28 days you could lose as much as 20 – 32 pound of body fat!

Count back 28 days from right now and think you could be 30 pounds liter now. The down side to the diet is, for you cheaters t there, if you do cheat you will pay dearly. Cheating is not allowed. On the protocol you have to get on the scale every morning and if you cheated the day before you will see it in the numbers. Even so much as a nut or the wrong kind of dressing for salad.  The flip side is you only have to be good for 28 days.

Day 8 Update – Good News

2010
03.06

So it’s been a total of 8 days on the PROTOCOL. The first two days are load days. They are important and as I read more about this PROTOCOL the more I know I loaded wrong. Maybe next time I will get it right.

Brenda found a good site today - FREE HCG Diet Info and Support

To say this week has been easy would be a total lie. The diet takes every ounce of will power I have to not doing something stupid, like east something that is not on the list. I WANT SOMETHING NOT ON THE LIST SOOOO BAD!

Any who….You all want to know the weight loss I would guess. I am going to go ahead and report Kelly’s weight too as she has not figured out she can post here yet.

David Weight loss this week: 11.4 pounds
Kelly’s Weight loss this week:  7.8 pounds

We have decided due to upcoming events and some other factors that we are only going to run this phase for 28 days. We can always come back and hit it again later. It has to be the hardest will power diet I have ever been on. The psychological urge to stop and get some food some place fast is enormous!

Oh and we have lost inches. See this is why they call the plan “Pounds & Inches”, here are the results:

Total Inches are a sum of measurements. Chest, arms, thighs, navel, hips, calves and neck.

David total inches: 16.25″
Kelly total inches: 8.75″

It’s amazing and really we are 5 days on the actual low calorie part. If this keeps up I will truly be amazed at the end of 28 days.
